Getting to our travel clinic in Chandler, AZ

Our Chandler/Gilbert clinic is located at the border of the City of Chandler, Arizona and the Town of Gilbert, Arizona. Our cross streets are Cooper and Ray Rd. Our office complex is called Expansive but we are not in the front at the main entrance. We have our own entrance in one of the outbuildings just to the north of the main building. You will see our Away Clinic sign on the outside window.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before traveling should I come in? At least 10 days but more is preferable. 6-8 weeks before travel is ideal.

What are the side effects of vaccination? The majority of people experience no side effects. Some people experience flu-like symptoms for 1-3 days and/or injection site soreness.

Do you take insurance? No, but we give you a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you're covered.

Do I need a prescription? No you don't need a prescription for vaccination at Away Clinic. Just come on in!

What if I lose my yellow vaccine card? We'll get you a new one but there is a charge. See our pricing page.

What if I need to cancel or change my appointment? Call at least 24 hours prior to get a refund for your appointment fee.

Do you provide proof of yellow fever vaccination necessary for travel? Yes.We are an Arizona State Certified Yellow Fever provider and we do provide a stamped, official yellow vaccine card to everyone who comes in to us for vaccination.

Do you provide yellow fever vaccine waivers? Yes, we do for those who meet the criteria (age over 60 or compromised immune system).

Do you provide malaria prescriptions? Yes, we provide malaria, altitude, and other travel-related prescriptions.

Do you offer oral typhoid vaccine as well as injectable. Yes, we have both. Depending on the situation, one may be preferable. Most people do the oral vaccination.
