United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a popular tourist destination known for its luxurious shopping, stunning architecture, and beautiful beaches. The country is made up of seven emirates, each with its own unique attractions. Dubai, the most famous emirate, is home to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and the largest shopping mall, the Dubai Mall. Abu Dhabi, the capital, boasts the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Ferrari World theme park. Visitors can also explore the traditional markets, or souks, in cities like Sharjah and experience the desert landscape on a thrilling dune bashing adventure. With a mix of modern and traditional culture, the UAE offers a unique and unforgettable experience for tourists.

United Arab Emirates Immunization Recommendations and Requirements

Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.

Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting United Arab Emirates. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
