Kuwait is a small but wealthy country located in the Middle East, bordered by Saudi Arabia and Iraq. It is known for its modern architecture, luxurious shopping malls, and beautiful beaches. The capital city, Kuwait City, offers a mix of traditional and modern attractions, including the iconic Kuwait Towers and the Grand Mosque. Visitors can also explore the historic Souq Al-Mubarakiya market, where they can find traditional handicrafts and delicious local cuisine. Kuwait is a safe and welcoming destination for travelers from the U.S., with a range of accommodation options and easy access to transportation.

Kuwait Immunization Recommendations and Requirements

Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.

Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Kuwait. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
