Jordan is a Middle Eastern country that offers a unique blend of ancient history, stunning natural landscapes, and modern amenities. Tourists can explore the ancient city of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its impressive architecture and intricate carvings. They can also visit the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, and float effortlessly in its salty waters. Jordan is also home to the Wadi Rum desert, where visitors can take a jeep tour or go on a camel ride to experience the breathtaking scenery. The country is known for its warm hospitality and delicious cuisine, making it a must-visit destination for any traveler.
Jordan Immunization Recommendations and Requirements
Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.
Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Jordan. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
