Central African Republic
Central African Republic is a landlocked country in the heart of Africa, offering a unique and authentic travel experience for adventurous tourists. The country is home to diverse wildlife, including elephants, gorillas, and hippos, as well as stunning natural landscapes such as waterfalls and national parks. Visitors can also immerse themselves in the local culture by visiting traditional villages and markets, and trying local cuisine. However, it is important to note that the country has experienced political instability and violence in recent years, and travelers should exercise caution and stay informed about the current situation before planning a trip.
Central African Republic Immunization Recommendations and Requirements
Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.
Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Central African Republic. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
