Bonaire
Bonaire is a small island located in the southern Caribbean, known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. It is a popular destination for tourists who enjoy snorkeling, diving, and other water activities. The island is home to several protected marine parks, including the Bonaire National Marine Park, which offers visitors the opportunity to see a variety of sea creatures up close. Bonaire also has a rich cultural history, with influences from the Netherlands, Africa, and South America. Visitors can explore the island's museums, art galleries, and historic landmarks, or simply relax on one of its many beautiful beaches.
Bonaire Immunization Recommendations and Requirements
Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.
Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Bonaire. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
