Azerbaijan is a country located in the Caucasus region of Eurasia, known for its rich history, diverse culture, and stunning natural beauty. The capital city, Baku, is a modern metropolis with a mix of old and new architecture, including the iconic Flame Towers. Visitors can explore the ancient walled city of Icherisheher, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy the vibrant nightlife and delicious cuisine. Outside of the city, tourists can hike in the Caucasus Mountains, relax on the beaches of the Caspian Sea, or visit the mud volcanoes and fire temples. Azerbaijan is a unique destination that offers something for everyone.

Azerbaijan Immunization Recommendations and Requirements

Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.

Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Azerbaijan. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
