Slovenia

Slovenia is a small, picturesque country located in central Europe, bordered by Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, with the Julian Alps, crystal-clear lakes, and lush forests. The capital city, Ljubljana, is a charming and vibrant city with a rich history and culture. Visitors can explore the medieval castle, stroll along the river, and enjoy the local cuisine and wine. Slovenia is also a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts, with opportunities for hiking, skiing, and water sports. With its friendly people, affordable prices, and diverse attractions, Slovenia is a hidden gem that should not be missed.

Slovenia Immunization Recommendations and Requirements

Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.

Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Slovenia. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
