Montserrat (U.K.)

Montserrat is a small island in the Caribbean that is part of the United Kingdom. Known as the "Emerald Isle of the Caribbean," Montserrat offers visitors a unique blend of natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. The island is home to the Soufriere Hills volcano, which erupted in 1995 and has since become a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can explore the volcano's exclusion zone, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Montserrat is also known for its music, with a thriving local scene that includes calypso, reggae, and soca. The island's beaches are pristine and uncrowded, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Montserrat (U.K.) Immunization Recommendations and Requirements

Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.

Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Montserrat (U.K.). This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
