Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a beautiful country located in southeastern Europe, known for its stunning natural landscapes, rich history, and diverse culture. Visitors can explore the charming cities of Sarajevo and Mostar, both of which offer a mix of Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture, as well as delicious local cuisine. The country is also home to several national parks, including the stunning Una National Park, where visitors can hike, swim, and enjoy the natural beauty of the region. Despite its tumultuous past, Bosnia and Herzegovina is a safe and welcoming destination for travelers from the U.S. looking to experience a unique and unforgettable European adventure.
Bosnia and Herzegovina Immunization Recommendations and Requirements
Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.
Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
