About the Role
Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you will meet with patients one-on-one, or in small family groups, to provide travel health consultations, vaccinations, medications and general travel health advice to travelers going abroad. You will review each client’s medical history and discuss CDC recommendations and destination country requirements for safe travel to foreign countries.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Thorough understanding of medical directives, guidelines, policies and procedures to provide the highest quality of care to clients.
Participate in Away Clinic’s training to ensure up to date knowledge of travel medicine and vaccination.
Adhere to safety protocols as set by the company’s medical directives and regulations.
Provide friendly, efficient, and safe service to clients.
Demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidate does not need prior experience with travel medicine but must be an RN who can work independently with little supervision
Registered Nurse certification with current license in good standing
First Aid/CPR certified
Ability to follow Medical Directives in order to safely administer vaccines and dispense medications
Must have excellent computer skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and self-directed environment.
