Pitcairn Islands (U.K.)
The Pitcairn Islands, a British Overseas Territory, is a remote and pristine destination for adventurous travelers seeking a unique experience. Located in the South Pacific, the islands are home to a small community of friendly locals who welcome visitors to explore their stunning natural surroundings. Visitors can hike through lush forests, swim in crystal-clear waters, and learn about the fascinating history of the island, including the story of the mutineers of the HMS Bounty. With limited tourist infrastructure, the Pitcairn Islands offer a truly off-the-beaten-path experience for those seeking a true escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Pitcairn Islands (U.K.) Immunization Recommendations and Requirements
Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.
Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Pitcairn Islands (U.K.). This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
