Known for its vast and diverse wildlife, Botswana is home to some of the world's most iconic animals, including elephants, lions, and giraffes. Visitors can explore the country's national parks and reserves, such as the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park, on guided safaris and boat tours. Botswana also boasts a rich cultural heritage, with traditional villages and crafts markets offering a glimpse into the local way of life. With its stunning landscapes, friendly people, and abundant wildlife, Botswana is a must-visit destination for any nature lover or adventure seeker.

Botswana Immunization Recommendations and Requirements

Before traveling, make sure you are up-to-date on all of your routine immunizations including influenza and COVID-19. Note that many vaccines that are now considered "routine" were not available until recent decades so you may not have received them at all, depending on your age and other factors.

Infants, 6 to 11 months old should receive one dose of MMR and Hepatitis A prior to visiting Botswana. This does not count toward routine childhood immunizations.
